Building Stewardship & Sharing
"Not to us, O Lord, not to us, but to your name give glory,
for the sake of your steadfast love and your faithfulness!"
Home. It’s where you land after a long day, where you fill up on mom’s cooking, where you gather together and share life, and where you care for what matters. As we reflect on God’s faithfulness over the last 40 years, we see His provision as we seek to make disciples who go and make disciples. This happens all over the world and, consistently, in our home on E. 91st St. As we look forward to the next 40 years (Lord-willing), we believe we're called to care for ‘home.’ We are tending to deferred maintenance as we steward the home God has generously blessed us with and we invite you to share in this opportunity.
In addition to our regular FBC ministry events, we are able to share our building with different team sports practices, organizations such as ABKA Karate, Trail Life, Alert Cadets and more. Our members are able to rent our facilities for events like weddings, birthday parties, showers and anniversaries. We also share our space for local community use with Sweet Adaline, piano recitals, voting days and other events.
It’s been a decade since we last asked the body for contributions over and above normal giving, to address the needs of our shared building and equipment. After much discussion and prayer, our deacons have identified four central project focuses that the Building Stewardship & Sharing gifts will fund (initial cost estimates listed are projected from a $350,000 campaign goal):
God, in His generosity, has brought in $294,856! If you feel led to give towards Building Stewardship & Sharing, please click the button below and designate 'Building' when prompted.
