On this page, you will find a variety of ways to get involved, each one offering unique chances to make a difference. Whether you're looking to serve our in our wonderful kids ministry, serve food in the kitchen, or support those grieving the loss of a loved one, there's something for everyone!

There are many opportunities to serve and we look forward to serving together!

Opportunities

  • Starting Point Hosts

    Hosts. Three consecutive Sundays in Jan, Apr, Jul, Sep during 10:30 a.m. service. Set up, greet, passing out and collecting paperwork, get to know the class. Service to our newest people, helping them feel welcome and wanted here at FBC. Could co-host.

  • Kids Ministry

    Invest in Fellowship Kids! Be a part of shaping young spiritual lives. Many levels of commitment, varying from every week to occasionally. Please look here: fbctulsa.org/kids. Also, you may contact Shea Casey directly to find the perfect fit for your schedule!

  • ABC Preschool

    Come support our Preschool and Kindergarten teachers on Tuesdays or Thursdays 9am – 12pm through various activities that minister to our teachers. We also have opportunities on Mondays or Wednesdays, anytime that fits your schedule. There are a variety of tasks important to the support of this impactful ministry. We have opportunities that can be customized to you!

  • Middle School Sunday Teacher

    Lead boys or girls from Explore the Bible curriculum, ministering the Word to our young people! Sundays, 10:30-11:45 a.m. Will fit your schedule.

  • Middle School Small Group Leader

    Wed. nights, 6:30-8:00 p.m. Lead a boys or girls group. Lead the small group in discussions concerning the large group teaching. Questions are provided. Be a part of developing depth in spiritual lives.

  • Usher

    Serve Sunday mornings, either 1st or 2nd service. Rotation is every other month. Each rotation has a Lead Usher. This ministry is vital as it is often the first smile and greeting our guests receive.

  • Greeter

    Welcome all comers to FBC! Much more than opening doors, it’s opening the church to all! Greet at Worship Center doors, 1st or 2nd service. Arrive :15 before service and stay 10 minutes after service starts. Sign up online or at the volunteer table in the Worship Center Lobby.

  • Guest Services

    Greet guests and welcome them with a gift bag and smile! Hand out gift bags. Help with directions. Help guests feel comfortable. Arrive :15 before the service.

  • Wednesday Childcare

    9:30-11:30a.m. This ministry invests in young children through the Word, building friends, and feeling loved. Be a part of leading kids in knowing Jesus! Flexible. Either volunteer or paid position.

  • Coffee Servers

    Sunday mornings. Rotations on 1st and 2nd service. Serve up coffee with a smile! It’s a great way to welcome new people and get to know lots of others! Be at the table :15 before service, and stay :10 after service.

  • Decorating Team

    Help deck our halls! Willing to help with special decorating such as Christmas, Cupcake Decorating Party, Christmas Party. Flexible. This is a fun, easy way to serve the church!

  • Front Office Team

    Become an integral force in the daily heartbeat of our church, dedicating a few hours to the Front Office Team. Your commitment lays the foundation for an efficient environment, nurturing both operational excellence and ministry support. Flexible scheduling. Also, substitute positions

  • Media - Audio

    Love music? Come learn how to run sound with us! You’ll spend 3 weeks training with some great friends who love music too, and then serve once a month, or more if you desire!

  • Media - Lyrics

    Help people engage in worship by serving as a Lyrics operator! You’ll spend 2 weeks training with some great friends who are passionate about helping our service run smoothly, and will then serve once a month, or more if you desire!

  • Media - Camera

    Love working a camera? Come help people from all over the world view our services online. You’ll spend a week training with a dedicated volunteer, and then will serve once a month, or more if you desire! This is low stress as you’ll wear headphones, and a producer will talk you through each shot!

  • Media - Live Stream Producer

    Are you attentive to the way things look and feel? Help many from across the globe view our stream in an excellent way. What a way to help impact the world for Christ! You’ll determine what is shown when, talk a camera person through their shots, and help broadcast video. You’ll spend 2 weeks working with a trained volunteer, and then serve once a month, or more if desired!

  • Media - In Person Producer

    Are you attentive to the way things look and feel? Are you schedule driven? As a Producer you will help various groups get on/off stage on time. Be attentive to the Pastor, Band, and other speakers’ needs. Make sure each speaker’s mic is on before they go up, that they are standing in the light, etc. You’ll spend 2 weeks training with dedicated volunteers, and then serve once a month, or more if desired!

  • Head Usher

    This is an investment in our team of ushers for encouragement and care. Coordinate with 4 lead ushers. Ensure smooth-running service. Oversee ministry.

  • Impact Kids

    Our Kids ministry on Wednesday nights serves our youngest church family! Invest in these precious kids! The commitment level is flexible to fit your schedule. Please look here: fbctulsa.org/kids. Also, you may contact Kamie Barrick directly to find the perfect fit for your schedule!

  • Major Event(s) Set-up/Clean-up

    Part of our investment in our community is hosting two large events every year. Each event is purposeful in its introduction of people to our campus and to our Savior! This service assists Facility Team before and/or after major events. The events are Dad Fest Car Show (always the Saturday before Father’s Day) and Trunk or Treat (always October 31st). Easy and fun way to serve, and a huge help to the Facilities Team.

  • Facilities - Mowing

    We have one of the prettiest church campuses in Tulsa! Help us keep it that way by serving on the Mowing Ministry every 2 weeks. Use FBC’s riding mower to mow under the trees by 91st street and the east field by the ball field. No edging or weeding, just mow! Schedule will be created by Facilities and dependent on number of people serving in this ministry.

  • Prayer/Care Team

    This team is a ministry of care to those who need prayer in our congregation. Be a phone Pray-er! Assignments come from requests for a call on the Connection Cards. Team Leader assigns callers. This is a Prayer Call and not time for visiting. This Team is an important part of the care ministry of our church and vital to our calling (literally!) to pray for one another!

  • Prayer Watch

    Prayer is at the core of our spiritual life! This team of women praying for the church and staff on Saturday mornings – 9:00 a.m. – exemplifies selfless ministry to others. Prayer Watch is dedicated to lifting up our local body and all staff to the glory of God!

  • Video Editor

    We love capturing stories of life change that God is facilitating in our body! In this role, you will work with pre-filmed testimonies and edit them into a final produced piece. This process includes cutting/splicing video clips, adjusting audio and color, choosing music, and adding B-roll to help tell the story of life change in the subject's life!

  • Film Producer

    In this role, you'll have the rewarding opportunity to capture stories of faith, transformation, and spiritual journeys shared by our body. Your role involves setting up filming equipment, conducting interviews, and filming visual testimonies. Your work will help capture and share these impactful stories!

  • Kitchen Crew

    Serving others through serving meals! This ministry feeds bodies and souls through serving snacks/meals at several events. Willing to serve as cooks/servers at one, or all, events. Plus, it’s fun! Flexible scheduling.

  • Safety Team

    Caring for our church family by being attentive to safety is important for all who attend here on Sundays. Sunday mornings. First or second service, on a rotation basis. Hallway patrol.

  • Sunday High School Leader

    Our student ministry is growing! Your investment with them will aid in their spiritual foundation. Sundays from 10:30am to 11:45am, spend time with students having intentional conversation and help facilitate the teaching classroom along with lead teachers.

  • Wednesday High School Small Group Leader

    Go in depth into your ministry with our young people. Help them on their journey of growing up into Christ! Wednesday from 6:30pm to 8:00pm, use small group questions provided to facilitate conversation with a small group of students after the lesson.

  • Women's Ministry

    There are many areas to serve in Women’s Ministry! Mentor Moms in Mom To Mom, Mom To Mom administration, decorating assistance, Bible study administration, Bible study assistant, Bible study leader, advisory board, Prayer Watch participant – join us!

  • Biblical Counseling Ministry

    Receive comprehensive training through MidAmerica Baptist Seminary during a 4-weekend commitment at FBC. Scriptural counseling is not dependent on your wisdom or life experiences, but on the Word of God and its sufficiency for your counselee. Also, ministry administration for communication, organization, resource ordering, etc.

  • Stephen Ministry Leader

    Stephen Leaders are pastors, other church staff, and lay leaders who complete a Stephen Leaders' training course which equips them to serve in a leadership role in Stephen Ministry. These leaders will train Stephen Ministers and provide support to them. Stephen Ministers are lay congregation members trained to provide one-to-one care to those experiencing a difficult time in life, such as grief, divorce, job loss, chronic or terminal illness, or relocation.

  • Caring Friends

    This is a team of note-writers! Send a special message to someone from FBC. Purpose is to share scripture and encouragement! Positions are Caring Friends Leader – team training and encouragement of community. Note Writers – write notes as assigned, on the day of assignment. Notes and stamps will be provided by FBC.

  • Grief Share Facilitator

    No matter what the circumstances, grief is a painful process. Help those who are walking their grief journey. Attend this 13-week GriefShare session and leader training and become a GriefShare facilitator.

  • Stephen Ministry Leader

  • Evangelism

    Evangelism is more than just a singular act—it's a mission that involves everyone, regardless of our strengths or gifts. Whether you're providing prayer support, hosting events, sharing the Gospel directly, or equipping others to do the same, there's a vital role for each person in this ministry.

  • Missions

    From praying for missions/missionaries, getting to know and caring for FBC missionaries, learning more about local ministries FBC supports, volunteering with ESL Conversations, going on a short-term mission trips, giving to missions, and helping with Fieldworker Fellowship.
